When "The Inspector Lynley Mysteries" debuted on Mystery! in 2002, it was greeted by much fanfare and critical acclaim. Viewers and critics alike couldn't get enough of novelist Elizabeth George's New Scotland Yard duo, the dashing blueblood Thomas Lynley and his working-class sidekick Barbara Havers, and the chemistry they brought on screen.
This month, Inspector Lynley and Sergeant Havers will say their final goodbye on Masterpiece Mystery!'s "The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Series VII." This two-part final installment of the popular series picks up where the last season ended. In "Limbo," Lynley grapples with the shocking death of his wife and is drawn back to the 15-year-old unsolved abduction of his godson; and in the finale, "Know Thine Enemy," the detectives' friendship is pushed to the brink, leaving one of them questioning a critical judgment call.
